Responsibilities: Coordinates all aspects of aquatic and youth programs, including learn-to-swim, certification program, youth program, and pool facilities; oversees program schedules, risk management, equipment, and budgets; develops marketing and promotional materials for programs; hires, supervises and trains student employees; and initiates development of programs and services that will generate revenue.
Qualifications: At least a bachelor’s degree in physical education, recreation management, health promotion, education or related field; at least one year of recreation program management experience; strong written and oral communication skills; and First Aid, CPR/ AED, Lifeguard and Blood Borne Pathogen certifications required. Master's degree; supervision experience; experience managing swimming pool facilities; and Instructor Trainer (IT), Lifeguard Instructor (LGI), Water Safety Instruction (WSI), Certified Pool and Spa Operator (CPO or AFO) preferred. Serving in a rotating on- call capacity for supervision of social and recreational activities, including nights and weekends will be necessary.
