
Controls Tech Specialist I
As a Controls Tech Specialist I, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining and enhancing the accuracy, reliability and system control’s data credibility of PLC and PC-based automation systems. In this role, you will oversee PLC upgrades and wiring modifications on production equipment and work directly with our maintenance team to troubleshoot and support production line modifications.
- Perform troubleshooting of automation systems and provide instrumentation, PLC and HMI/SCADA software and hardware support and training to the maintenance staff
- Assist in the execution of plant capital projects from conception through completion
- Maintain an up-to-date and complete set of as-built electrical and controls documentation
- Coordinate and implement control system software upgrades
- Perform Network Administration and Data Administration tasks for networked, PC-based control systems-related equipment
- Develop, read and interpret all electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and programs essential to plant operation and provide updates as necessary
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 3+ years of applicable experience in PLC software and hardware troubleshooting and/or PC-based HMI systems
OR
- Associate’s Degree in a technical discipline
- 1+ year of applicable experience in PLC software and hardware troubleshooting and/or PC-based HMI systems
