Position Summary & Responsibilities

The position (K0243541)

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has a 340B Program Administrator opening in Topeka. The incumbent in this role will act as the primary internal and external program specialist and liaison for all STI and TB 340B-related matters including technical support and certification reminders.

 

Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following: 

Assure that all TB and STI medication orders are sent to our subrecipients in a timely fashion during the shipping window.

Ensures the STI and TB 340B pharmacy program is continuously compliant with all 340B federal regulations including purchasing and medication transfer.  Regularly communicates with all staff involved with the 340B Program to be sure that processes remain efficient and reports compliance concerns and issues to the appropriate section chief, supervisor, or program manager promptly. May assist in the development, implementation, or promotion of programmatic resources/tools to support staff.

Coordinates with program manager to identify new subrecipients. Assist subrecipients in registration and renewals as needed. Assists subrecipient's with the implementation of and adherence to the 340B program and related policies and procedures, including performing audits. Share expertise and assists with training, education, and communication to staff and program participants regarding updates to the 340B policies and procedures. Assist with the implementation of action plans to correct 340B compliance deficiencies, if indicated.

Qualifications

Education:  

  • High School, GED

Licensing & Certification:

  • Valid Driver's License - Incumbent is required to have and maintain a valid driver's license when operating a state vehicle, a private vehicle, or a rental vehicle for the benefit of the State.         

Minimum Qualifications:  

  • Two years of experience in providing direction necessary to implement the objectives of an agency, program or organizational unit. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Associate’s degree.
  • Organization and logistical management.
  • Pharmacy Tech Licensure or similar is beneficial.
  • Customer service and education skills preferred.
  • Medication storage and handling.
  • Ability to be a self-starter and independent thinker.
  • Experience working with other state agencies and or programs.
  • Experience working with tuberculosis and STI highly preferred.
  • Proofreading, editing, attention to detail.
  • Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access.
