Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Events Manager to represent The Human of Color Haircare at trade shows, pop-up events, and community activations. This hands-on role involves engaging with customers, selling products, and providing exceptional on-site support to ensure a seamless event experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend trade shows, pop-up events, and community activations to represent the brand professionally and enthusiastically.
- Set up and dismantle event booths, including displays, product arrangements, and promotional materials.
- Assist with event logistics such as inventory management, cash handling, and point-of-sale (POS) operations.
- Engage with attendees to educate them about our products, mission, and impact.
- Provide excellent customer service, answer product-related questions, and make personalized recommendations.
- Track sales, gather customer feedback, and document event performance metrics.
- Collaborate with team members to brainstorm ideas for enhancing the trade show experience.
- Maintain a clean and organized booth space throughout events.
- Support promotional activities, such as product demonstrations, social media content creation, and giveaways.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion, and committed to our brand mission.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-focused mindset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing needs during events.
- Energetic, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
- Comfortable handling sales transactions and using POS systems.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Physical ability to lift and transport event materials (up to 25 lbs).
