Director of Learning and Clinical Supervision

Work with Bridge Over Troubled Water as a Quaker Voluntary Service Fellow!

About the position:

In your placement with Bridge, you will be working with 18-24 year-olds who are experiencing housing insecurity. Some of
the duties and tasks you may be doing are:
· Participating in an orientation, supervisions and trainings.
· Supporting young adults in their struggles to meet their goals and program expectations.
· Identifying and communicating young adults needs to Bridge staff members.
· Helping with maintenance of daily operations of the program.
· Helping with resource finding and referrals.
· Monitoring and ensuring safety of our young adults, implementing Collaborative Problem Solving and Crisis Interventions, (trainings provided).
· Monitoring the milieu, and supporting a healthy environment.
· Help with linking young people to opportunities that allow them to gain skills and knowledge.
· Engaging young people through Strengths-Based and Harm Reduction approaches, (trainings provided).
· Utilizing Motivational Interviewing, (training provided), as primary interventions to engage youth around goals and encourage further involvement in Bridge services.
· Supporting young people through 1-1 and group interventions.
· Participating, planning events, and group activities.
· Working with staff and managers around other tasks and responsibilities as needed.

About Quaker Voluntary Service:

Quaker Voluntary Service is a 9.5-month service program operating in Boston, Philadelphia, Minneapolis and Portland, OR.  During their service term, QVS Fellows receive many supports including:
