Join HDI Global US, a leading industrial insurer and part of the Talanx Group, for a dynamic summer internship in Property Underwriting. Gain hands-on experience in evaluating commercial property risks, pricing insurance solutions, and supporting global clients through tailored underwriting strategies.
What You’ll Do
• Assist in reviewing property underwriting submissions and risk data
• Analyze exposures including natural catastrophe, fire protection, and asset valuations
• Support pricing, coverage design, and policy documentation
• Collaborate with risk engineers, actuaries, and client managers
• Participate in client and broker strategy sessions
Who Should Apply
• Students pursuing degrees in Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, Business, or related fields
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Proficient in Excel and comfortable working with technical data
• Interested in property insurance, risk assessment, and global underwriting

This internship is based out of our Downtown Chicago office, offering interns the opportunity to work in the heart of one of the nation’s most vibrant business districts. You'll enjoy easy access to public transportation, a wide variety of dining options, cultural attractions, and networking events throughout the city.
Housing is not provided as part of the internship program. Interns are responsible for securing their own accommodation.
Compensation
First-year interns are paid $20 per hour. Interns who receive an extension or return for a subsequent internship may be eligible for increased compensation based on performance and continued development within the program.
