Student Clerk in Psychiatry Administration
The Department of Psychiatry is seeking a Student Employee to join our collaborative and dynamic student team, providing administrative support to the department. The Student Employee’s responsibilities include assisting Psychiatry providers and residents, managing adult and adolescent group therapy rosters and materials, handling mail, fielding phone calls, greeting and directing visitors, and completing various daily tasks as outlined below.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and a pleasant public demeanor. This position is located within University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. The selected candidate will be subject to a background check and various hospital compliances prior to start.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Mail sorting and delivery
Gathering, copying, scanning, and filing documents for various projects
Manage adult and adolescent group therapy rosters, schedules, and materials
Assist with Resident and Provider Lunches
Answer patient questions by phone or email, managing several shared inboxes
Updating calendars and schedules
Work Schedule:
Preferably available at least 3 days per week including summer and winter break.
Minimum of 15-20 hours per week during school sessions is preferred.
Qualifications:
Strong attention to detail and organization is required.
Ability to work and communicate effectively in a team environment.
Experience with Microsoft Office preferred.
