National Accounts Business Analyst

Summary

The National Accounts Business Analyst drives data-driven insights that support profitable business growth. This role partners closely with Sales, Analytics, and cross-functional teams to analyze performance, improve processes, and implement new business functions and reporting solutions. The analyst provides actionable recommendations that influence decision-making and enhance operational effectiveness.

Requirements

Essential Functions

  • Analyze, update, and maintain monthly performance and compliance scorecards.
  • Analyze and interpret monthly sales, performance, and compliance reporting.
  • Collaborate with National Account Directors and other teams to support strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain business processes aligned with customer requirements.
  • Track PrimeSource sales to customers, including reviewing and monitoring customer POS reporting through customer support portals and available sales reporting systems.
  • Support Account Directors and key stakeholders with ad-hoc analytical reports using internal and customer POS data to deliver quick-turn insights.
  • Partner with POG team to develop assortment and performance reporting.
  • Communicate insights, trends, and recommendations to key stakeholders to support informed business decisions.

Reporting Relationship

Reports to: Senior Director of Sales Support

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience required.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in sales analysis, business analytics, or a related field strongly preferred.

Required Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Salesforce, and SAP.
  • Strong understanding of sales analysis, reporting, and trend identification.
  • Experience with Tableau, Tableau Prep, SQL, and/or Alteryx strongly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Advanced modeling and analytical capabilities with the ability to adapt quickly to new systems and technologies.
  • Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and without detailed instructions.
  • High level of technical aptitude and hands-on experience working with complex data systems.
