Patient Referral Assistant

Are you looking for an entry level student job in healthcare in a quiet environment?  Hospital Dentistry Institute, University of Iowa Healthcare Main Campus, is looking for a dedicated and dependable student employee to assist with the management of incoming patient referrals.

• Primary responsibility will be to transfer patient referral data from dental providers into our proprietary software system.
• Complete other office duties as needed to assist staff

Most important job qualifications:

1. Attention to detail.  Referral data is utilized by oral surgeons, dentists, residents, nurses, dental assistants, schedulers and staff.  It is imperative that data entry is accurate.
2. Time management.  Able to manage your student schedule in order to be available on a consistent basis two days a week for 4-6 hours.
3. Being available year-round, including summers and school breaks, is a plus.
