The Huang lab in Internal Medicine - Nephrology is looking for an undergraduate lab assistant. We study renal diseases like polycystic kidney disease (PKD) and chronic kidney disease (CKD), using a variety of experimental approaches and animal models. 

 

Starting duties of a lab assistant include general lab tasks such as:

  • lab maintenance including washing, autoclaving, making solutions, etc.
  • Assisting with animal work including maintaining mouse colony and genotyping PCR.
  • May get involved in more research opportunities as skills develop

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Prefer students with Biology, Pre-Med, or other science majors.
  • GPA 3.0 or better
  • Ability to work long term (>1 year), and more than 8 hours per week.
