SF Pride - Administrative/Fulfillment/Event Intern (UNPAID)

A world leader in the Pride movement, with over 200 parade contingents and exhibitors, and more than twenty community-run stages and venues, the San Francisco Pride Celebration and Parade is the largest gathering of the LGBT community and allies in the nation. SF Pride is also a grant-giving organization through our Community Partners Program. Since 1997, SF Pride has awarded over $3 million dollars from proceeds of the Pride Celebration and Parade to local non-profit LGBT organizations and those organizations working on issues related to HIV/AIDS, cancer, homelessness, and animal welfare.
Summary:
Administrative Intern develops entry-level administrative skills, assisting with general office, Accounting, IT and Marketing activities as determined and directed by the Project Manager (PM). Administrative Interns will be responsible for assisting the PM with general office duties including, but not limited to, manage small tasks, ownership on different projects, greeting guests, record filing, support special events, and daily office needs. Responsible for the "VIP" pride program and the Information Booth during the event weekend, work closely with the fulfillment team. 
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the first point-of-contact for all office communications
Manage office, supply and equipment inventory and maintenance
Maintain record filings and receive deliveries
Maintain a well-organized office space
Prepare documents and generating reports, maintain office files and manage databases as needed
Assist with special events and provide meeting support
Solicit donations for special events
Coordinate some travel and scheduling arrangements
Work with and mange volunteers on various projects as they arise
Desired skills:
Interest in non-profit or Social administration, customer service, organizational and planning skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and a high level of accuracy with strong attention to detail
Flexible schedule (and ability to assist on evening or weekends on occasion)
Ability to work without supervision
Problem solver
Ability to work as part of a team with a commitment to service and excellence

Hours & compensation: We are seeking full-time and part-time interns. These are unpaid internships. Air transportation might be provided depending on availability.
Duration: April through July, 2020 (somehow flexible)
Minimum 2 months commitment
Note: This is an unpaid internship. Academic credit is available upon request.
