Writers / Editors:
This hand-on internship includes editing website text, press releases, e-newsletters articles, SEO meta tags, auto responders, marketing manuals, Power Point, and much more.
Description:
- Conceptualize and develop website text, e-mails, flyers, documentation, and more.
- Write press releases for several of our commercial website, but primarily for HereIsMyCoupon.com.
- Write newspaper articles primarily for HereIsMyCoupon.com.
- Create emails, website text, social media/network postings, marketing materials and more.
- Edit and copy-edit new and existing materials (on- and off-line).
- Edit articles to be submitted to college magazines and newspapers worldwide.
- Create articles that describe our company model.
- Write blog posts as well as social media posts.
Requirements: Must be able to work in an editing, writing, rewriting, creating, evaluating, and developing capacity. Self-motivated and detail oriented people who are driven to learn new web technologies and implement them while gaining hand-on experience and potential long-term affiliation.
Marketing: Social Media:
Our Social Media Coordinator must understand the value and mission of our company and appropriately represent it in our various social media platforms.
Description: Create content to post on various social networks, aggregation websites, message boards, fan sites, and more Actively work to identify relevant audiences for our campaigns. Refine and accelerate our existing social media strategies on Facebook, Twitter, and other platforms Monitor social media best practices and provide proactive recommendations. Develop link exchanges and ongoing relationships with appropriate partners. Track the effectiveness of our campaigns in daily and weekly reports. Develop, pitch, and implement your own marketing campaigns to reach college students and our other target markets. Monitor day-to-day social media conversations and keep up-to-date with emerging social media platforms and opportunities. Observe and identify new trends in social media Market towards groups, merchants, and savers. Occasionally post in various social media platforms while logged into your own profile in an effort to reach your own personal network (optional). Brainstorm new ways to promote and market HIMC through social media and other forums.
Requirements: Wide-ranging familiarity with major social media sites and services. Deep personal engagement in social media. Experience pitching blog and marketing ideas
Graphic Design:
Whether it is working on the design of our websites, creating print advertisements, or designing promotional pieces, image is a crucial part of our businesses. This is a fast paced creative challenge to expand any portfolio with meaningful projects/work. Designers working for HIMC must be able to realize new visual concepts for all aspects of our company.
Description:
- Create HTML pages utilizing Dreamweaver and CSS for this new commercial website, HereIsMyCoupon.com, and client websites through www.aed-is.com.
- Design materials, press releases, presentations, manuals, articles, advertisements, and newsletters.
- Utilize audio and video software to create promotional pieces.
- Develop HIMC info graphics to explain company model and different markets.
- Develop graphics for the various social media pages.
- Work with our company mascot, Bean, adding graphics to his image to assist messages on various website pages.
- Create images for different web pages and hyperlocal landing pages.
Requirements: Self-motivated and detail oriented people who are driven to learn new web technologies and implement them while gaining hand-on experience and potential long-term affiliation. Experience using the Adobe Suite, including Photoshop, In Design, and Illustrator
Business Development/Community Outreach:
This internship is a shadowing and very much hands-on work, providing our interns with a great experience within a fast-paced start-up environment. It includes modifying and developing our philosophy, documentation, best practices, answers to common questions that arise through real interactions, emails, and our company's online chat system. Our interns work with seasoned HIMC employees, our CEO, and possibly other HIMC personnel. You may assist with field work, coaching and other real-time business development and community outreach activities.
Description:
- Develop new dialogues for our outreach members.
- Improve/Edit/Re-write existing documentation.
- Work directly with our Operation manager, our outreach team and CEO.
- Develop a system's approach for working with each all of our customers (groups, non-profits, education, college students, merchants and searchers)
- Develop a system's approach for the entire on-boarding, orientation, outreach, sales, and referral cycles.
- Field test these modifications with HIMC personnel.

Description:
- Our interns will work with our off-shore development company in testing and assisting them in their work with .NET, PHP, CGI and other technologies.
- Develop new website functions, frontend design and back end administration, features, and automation.
- Maintain and develop our dedicated Windows and Linux server through new software, security and related.
- Work with marketing and e-commerce strategies.
