Programming Intern
Outfest is looking for an organized, self-starter with a proven interest in LGBTQ film throughout the 2018 - 2019 season. This is an unpaid internship. Candidate should be a current student or recent graduate.
The intern will assist with administrative tasks vital to programming departmental operations.
Tasks include:
- Assisting in coordinating submissions
- Database upkeep
- Film submission screening
- Script coverage
- Community outreach and engagement
- Filmmaker communications
- Films research
- Other tasks as necessary
The intern’s tasks will be in preparation for NewFest: New York's LGBT Film Festival (October 2018), the Outfest Fusion LGBTQ People of Color Film Festival (March 2019), the Outfest Screenwriting Lab (June 2019), and the Outfest Los Angeles LGBTQ Film Festival (July 2019). If available, we highly encourage our interns to continue their work with us up through our LA-based film festivals in March and July.
