Sustainability Coordinator-Dominican Volunteer

Dominican Volunteers serve in Sustainability and Eco Justice Initiatives in a variety of roles all across the USA. Job descriptions vary depending on location and volunteer interests and skills. Dominican Volunteers serve communities who are marginalized and economically poor or vulnerable. Dominican Volunteers can be sustainability coordinators for Dominican Sisters of Grand Rapids' Campus, organic farm-hands, community educators, do environmental justice advocacy and policy work, and more. Sustainability and Eco Justice positions are available in Adrian, Grand Rapids, and Racine. Being a Dominican Volunteer is a life-changing experience that is challenging and deeply rewarding; DVs make significant and lasting impacts where they serve.

All living expenses covered (room & board, food, transportation, health insurance, etc.) and monthly stipend provided. Dominican Volunteers live in diverse, intergenerational, intentional communities with peers and Dominican Sisters and live out the four pillars of Ministry, Community, Prayer & Study.

Requirements to Be a Dominican Volunteer:
No prior experience required. Must be 21 years of age and have completed 2 years of college. Dedication, flexibility, openness to diversity in all forms, spiritual curiosity and deep compassion. *Students with DACA are very welcome! Please call with any questions.
