Software Engineer - Commercial Software
Synthego is looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer, to join our team and help create the world’s first fully automated cloud-enabled molecular biology lab. The Commercial Team supports every part of the customers journey with Synthego. Everything from landing pages, product pages, design tools, checkout funnels, and experimental protocols, involve software Commercial Software supports. As a Software engineer on the Commercial Software team you will be expected to deliver that features that both delight the customer and drive metrics. You will with marketing, sales, and sales operations to build, define, and optimize a visitors experience across all our web properties.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design and ship new features for our customer facing workflows, products and internal tools.
- Work with our Marketing and Product teams to track and optimize the customer funnel.
- Build a delightful UI/UX experience that clearly and succinctly delivers Synthego's value proposition.
- Write clean, modular code that is scalable and secure.
- Mentor other engineers and thoughtfully review code.
- Own open-ended problems, we will trust you to define the solutions and scope.
- Troubleshoot customer problems, address issues, and answer questions from internal teams.
Abou You
- Bachelor’s degree Computer Science or other relevant discipline.
- Desire to solve the unique eCommerce problems in the biotech space.
- 3+ years of experience with JavaScript.
- Strong UX and design sensibilities, and a desire to sweat the small stuff.
- Experience with one or more modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Vue)
- Experience architecting and maintaining all or parts of a front-end web application.
- Experience with Python web frameworks (Django).
- Strong desire to work in a fast-paced, collaborative start-up environment.
Nice to Haves
- Experience in the eCommerce space
- Expertise with ES6
- Experience with large scale ecommerce
- Experience in a microservice architecture
- Experience with Linux
- DevOps experience (EC2, S3, nginx, etc.)
