Medical Provider - Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner

You will provide quality primary and preventive medical care to U.S. diplomats and their families, supervise staff, direct health unit operations, and engage with foreign audiences which helps to promote peace and prosperity around the world. Specialized Experience and Requirements
 
·       Applicants must have a minimum of five years clinical experience post NP or PA family practice certification.
·       75% of the NP or PA’s time must be involved in direct primary care for at least four out of the last five years.
 
Education Requirements
 
·       Applicants must be a graduate of an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) program at the time of application with a minimum of a Master's degree in a health related field.
·       Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet federal job requirements for this position if the applicant provides an international education evaluation certifying the degree earned is equivalent to education received in the United States.
 
Key Requirements
 
·       Be a U.S. citizen and available for worldwide service.
·       Be able to obtain a Top Secret Security Clearance.
·       Be able to obtain an appropriate Foreign Service Medical Clearance.
·       Be at least 20 years old and at least 21 years old to be appointed.
·       Be appointed prior to age 60 (preference eligible veterans accepted).
