AFCS Premier College Intern Program (PCIP) Summer 2020

The Air Force Civilian Career Services is pleased to announce the Premier College Intern Program (PCIP). Students in their SOPHOMORE or JUNIOR year and enrolled in a full-time 4-year Baccalaureate program, as well as first-year students enrolled in a full-time Master's program, are able to apply for a paid summer internship lasting 10-12 weeks during the summer session. (Actual start & end dates may vary)

PCIP focuses on individuals from a variety of career fields who would like to gain real-world experience while considering a dynamic career with the Air Force Civilian Services (AFCS). Participants will be given the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge, skills, and insight needed to start a successful career with AFCS. They will work on special projects under the mentorship of subject matter experts (SMEs). Most importantly, interns will work directly with SMEs in career fields that align with the intern's academic major and/or area of interest.

Upon graduation and satisfactory program completion, a Premier College Intern may be selected and offered a full-time job with one of AFCS's developmental programs. 

AFCS is seeking MAJORS in, but not limited to: Cyber/Computer Science, ALL Engineering disciplines, Finance & Accounting, Business, Human Resource Management, Education, Program Management, Psychology, Physics & Mathematics, Child & Youth Development. Interns will also experience a 3-day symposium to introduce them to AFCS, networking, and training.

You must be a student currently enrolled in an accredited public or other non-profit college or university:

- U.S. Citizenship Required

- Must meet federal employment suitability

- Males must be registered for Selective Service (www.sss.gov)

- Pursuing a Baccalaureate Degree in an approved full-time program

- In good academic standing with 2.95 CUM GPA or greater

- Must sign a Participant Agreement

NOTE: At the end of the summer internship, if the candidate is a good fit and performed satisfactorily, they may be selected for a full-time developmental position upon graduation. However, they will still be required to meet, or be able to meet, all eligibility requirements of the developmental program (e.g., for students interested in becoming Contracting Specialists, they must have completed a minimum of 24 hours of business coursework as well as met the CUM GPA of 2.95).
