Cyber Security/Information Assurance (CS/IA) Specialist

The CS/IA Specialist will support: (1) security testing and certification (e.g., Risk Management Framework (RMF), DoDD 8500.1, Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Security Requirements Guides (SRGs), etc.) developing Information Support Plans (ISPs); (2) performing system scans using automated tools (SCC, Retina, nmap, etc.); (3) performing manual analysis; and (4) preparing Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms).

 

The CS/IA Specialist must possess a good understanding of Cybersecurity concepts, practices and procedures within the Linux and Windows Operating System computing environments. In addition, he/she must be organized, have excellent record-keeping skills and have the ability to analyze technical/administrative problems, develop optional solutions, and implement the selected solution. The CS/IA Specialist must have strong oral and written skills in documenting and presenting findings and recommendations to peers as well as superiors.
