Production Planner (Req 119347)

Responsibilities:
Develop the business plan by effectively balancing supply and demand to enable stability of, and flexibility within operations. Development of a working knowledge of the Divisional products and processes to enable analyzing when supply and demand is out of balance, identifying alternatives, and recommending action for approval by the executive management team. 

Establish, manage, and maintain a single plan of record that is used for material and capacity planning, as well as financial planning. Drive shipment revenue plan targets for the Operations Team while aligning financial goals with Sales Forecast and optimal inventory levels.

Manage slot plan through collaboration with Sales and Marketing teams in demand management by setting priorities and ensuring the Division meets customer delivery commitments. Identify, negotiate, and resolve conflicts of supply (materials and capacity) to ensure optimal outcome of customer commitments and requirements by initiating and driving problem solving resolution across the Division, including Sales, Marketing, and Engineering and Operations. Manage ERP system implementation and execution required to provide Operations direction on the single plan of record. Ensure forecasting methodology allows for maximum demand flexibility with minimal impact to inventory levels.

Ability to work well with cross-functional teams as well as independently
Strong analytical skills and ability to work on complex problems where analysis of the situation requires a review of a variety of factors.
Strong communication skills and ability to effectively and efficiently provide guidance to various teams within Operations
B.S. in Business (or equivalent)
Experience and/or working knowledge of MRP and experience with SAP a plus (preferred, but not required)
Prior internship with operations experience a plus (preferred, but not required)
Candidate should be process oriented and results driven. Should enjoy a challenging and fast paced environment. Must have the proven ability to effectively deal with ambiguity, identify gaps, and implement innovative solutions to increase operational efficiency. Uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results.
