Family Research Council has faithfully embarked upon the mission of advancing faith, family and freedom in public policy and the culture from a biblical worldview for over three decades. FRC recognizes that there is not a better way to ensure the preservation of a just, free and prosperous society than by investing in the next generation of leaders. It is for this purpose that the Family Research Council Internship Program exists. 

The FRC Internship Program is a 12 - 15 week program designed to educate and inspire undergraduate or graduate students who are passionate about public service, and who believe that a biblical worldview is fundamental to the reformation of government and culture. FRC interns receive the opportunity to work alongside and be personally and professionally developed by our team of experts. FRC seeks to serve as a catalyst for students to assume careers of influence and equip them to make a difference wherever God calls.

The Administration team oversees Finance and Accounting, Human Resources, Facility Maintenance, and Constituent Services. Interns receive the opportunity to learn how the day-to-day operations of a non-profit organization work.

The Brand Advancement team is responsible for establishing continuity and consistency for FRC’s message across its various platforms. Interns may work in a variety of capacities within the department such as radio, graphic design, video, marketing, digital media, social media, and editing.

Coalitions is responsible for partnership development with like-minded organizations in the fields of military religious liberty, free speech, education, and the fight against antisemitism in order to achieve the collective aims of all partners. Interns will have the opportunity to attend partner meetings on and off site, perform research in related issue fields, analyze opposition research and news, and strategize new initiatives for each of FRC's four coalitions.

The Communications team oversees FRC’s media relations efforts, including production and distribution of news releases and op-eds, online communications, and FRC’s radio programs. Interns will be responsible for transcribing interviews, tracking pertinent news, researching archives, and creating blog posts.

The Development department is responsible for acquiring FRC funding, including promoting, recruiting, and fundraising. Interns will have the opportunity to write impact reports, compile stories submitted by supporters, and assist in drafting marketing campaigns and grant letters.

The Events team is responsible for directing all major events for FRC, including donor events, national pastor briefings, and the Values Voter Summit, which is the largest gathering of social conservatives in the nation. Interns will assist in securing exhibitors for national events and scheduling logistics for staff, volunteers, and speakers.

FRC Action is the legislative affiliate of Family Research Council that seeks to educate and influence elected officials on Capitol Hill and in the States. Interns will assist in areas such as researching vital political races, writing backgrounders, attending fundraising events, and special research projects. Helpful skills include an ability to work under deadlines and strong knowledge of the American political landscape.

The Government Affairs team oversees FRC’s work on life, marriage, religious freedom, and family issues, focusing on tracking legislation at the state and local level. Interns will be responsible for maintaining a legislative tracking system, analyzing bills, and organizing state and federal issue data.

The IT department oversees all areas of technology for the organization. Among a

myriad of other things, interns will support maintenance of the corporate database,

web infrastructure, end-user support, audio visual production, telecom services, and

information security

Our Policy experts are responsible for the development of public policy from a Christian worldview. In the Policy department, interns may assist in researching legal cases, case summary analysis, attending meetings on Capitol Hill, and researching current events, articles, and blog posts. A pursuit of law is strongly suggested for interns looking to specialize in religious liberty and bioethics, but final placement will be determined by writing and research abilities.
