IDEAL is looking to hire two Media Tutors beginning August 2021 for employment throughout the academic year. The Media Tutor role includes the following responsibilities: 1) help staff a media studio where students come for assistance on digital projects, 2) help manage the checkout process of audio and video equipment to students working on digital projects (this includes assisting with inventory tracking in the checkout system) 3) provide one-on-one tutoring to students on how to use of the equipment and how to use various media editing software (I.E. Adobe Premier, iMovie, Audacity, WordPress, etc.), 4) visit various classes to provide software or equipment tutorials for students and faculty, 5) provide guidance and support for audio and video planning, production, and post-production work. Ideal is looking for someone who is a self-starter and has the ability to provide one-on-one tutorial support for video and audio compositions to students. Applicants should be familiar with video and audio editing programs and have excellent interpersonal skills. To be successful in this role, applicants should be detail and goal-oriented and willing to work extra hours on an occasional basis.  Hours will range from 10-20 a week depending on need.
