Job Summary 
This program is designed to orient the intern to the various positions at our sales center locations including Sales Center Manager, Operations Manager and Business Development Representative (sales) positions. Interns follow a progressive plan mentored by the sales center manager. Interns meet with the sales center manager every Friday to discuss what they learned for the week and what they will learn the following week.
 
This position is located Nationwide.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Learns inventory procedures with the use of a Radio Frequency gun.
  • Assists in receiving and storing products.
  • Assists in pulling orders from the warehouse and transfers items between sales center locations. 
  • Performs cycle counts in the warehouse and compares numbers to inventory software to ensure accuracy. Enters inventory data into computer.
  • Looks up parts and products in POOLCORP and manufacturer’s catalogs and learns how to order products from manufacturers.
  • Learns Prelude inventory system/ADS shortcuts and screens. 
  • Provides customers with stock check and pricing.
  • Assists with accounts receivable and accounts payable duties. Prepares and mails daily invoices and files pertinent paperwork in the correct files.
  • Reviews the P&L with the sales center manager.
  • Learns to identify and acknowledge customers’ needs. Follows up with customers on the status of their orders.
  • Learns what is required to provide excellent customer service to assist in serving customers at the sales counter.
  • Becomes familiar with the B2B website our customers use to order their products. 
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Junior or Senior standing in a business related curriculum with a solid academic performance record. Preferred curriculums include: Supply Chain Management, Operations and Logistics, Marketing, Professional Selling, Management, Business Administration.
  • Ability to relocate to designated training branch and provide own transportation daily (housing assistance provided if relocated).
  • Desire to work in a distribution setting and learn all aspects of managing a distribution center.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Internet Software and the ability to learn Prelude inventory system.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds.
  • Forklift and RF gun experience helpful.
