Associate Sales Consultant

The Associate Sales Consultant role is designed to prepare an individual for a position as an outside Sales Consultant after 6-12 months (time frame may vary depending on the specific candidate and the availability of sales rep positions). The Associate Retail Consultant will report directly to the Sales Manager, and will spend the majority of his/her time in one of the Window and Door Showrooms. Showroom location may vary and rotating Saturday coverage is required.

·      Job Responsibilities:
  • Displays and/or demonstrates product in Showrooms and/or consumer home shows, using samples or catalogs, emphasizing features and benefits of Pella products.
  • Answers and accurately directs customer calls for both internal and external customers by asking leading questions and pre-qualifying. Sets proper customer expectations regarding the Retail Replacement process.
  • Qualifies call-in and walk-in customers by using the Consumer Profile sheet to obtain detailed information to set sales appointments for Outside Sales Consultants.
  • Completes opportunity recovery phone calls to dead opportunities in an effort to generate sales.
  • Become proficient in the use of PQM, ACE, Microsoft Outlook, all office equipment and processes related to sales operations.
  • Gain experience with field measurement and installation techniques, practices and policies.
  • When possible, ride along with sales consultants on appointments and become familiar with the in-home sales process including PQM pricing, use of financing options, use of POT process, and closing techniques.
  • Must successfully complete the Pella Corp. Professional Sales Training and any local workshops as they become available.
·      Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University; or 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Individual’s motor vehicle record must also comply with company requirements

Travel
The vast majority of travel will be local. Must be able to drive to showrooms, job sites and customer/contractor locations and required company functions at various locations.
