CCBHC Vocation/Education Specialist

Seasons is a comprehensive Behavioral Health Center offering a broad range of psychiatric and behavioral health services to communities in Northwest Iowa. We are currently seeking a detail oriented and self-driven individual to be our CCBHC Vocation/Education Specialist.
 
The CCBHC Vocation/Education Specialist will:
·        Assess the educational and vocational capabilities of adults and transition-age youth with severe and persistent mentally illness and assist them in exploring educational possibilities and setting career goals
·        Provide training and continuing vocational support, including resume help, mock interviews, and employment guidance to individuals enrolled in the program
·        Monitor the members’ vocational functioning and evaluate the need for additional services
·        Investigate additional resources that may be available to program participants, including educational and job development opportunities
·        Develop working relationships with local agencies, facilities, and employers to help members’ gain and maintain employment, negotiate job accommodations, and access educational resources
·        Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, including medical and mental health providers, as well as the agency’s Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team
·        Collaborate with local, state, and federal agencies related to employment opportunities for individuals with behavioral health concerns
·        Assist with the collection, maintenance, and analysis of participant data, including the administration of assessments and evaluations
 
Requirements:
·        A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communication, Social Work or a related field is required
·        Experience working with the individuals with serious and persistent mental illnesses is required
·        Experience providing supported employment services and a working knowledge of a broad range of occupations and jobs is preferred
·        Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
