Financial/Compensation Analyst

Responsibilities include: 

  • Manage multiple client and internal projects at all times.
  • Communicate project/work status to client project teams and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of typical employee benefits including: health, life, disability, retirement, vacation, severance, and perquisites.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of basic salary administration practices, types of health care organizations, and survey benchmark jobs.
  • Maintain familiarity with the use of spreadsheet applications to calculate and compile market pay value, benefit cost analysis, and retirement calculations.
  • Prepare analysis of client salary, incentive, and benefit programs with comparisons to market data for consultant review. Communicate basic compensation and benefit analysis issues clearly and logically for internal team discussion.
  • Participate in client conference calls to address specific client projects, questions, or issues.

  • Draft client reports and memorandums that communicate client compensation issues and insights clearly and concisely following established models or templates.
  • Demonstrate commitment to accuracy, quality, and responsiveness in providing internal team and external client assistance.
  • Actively participate in formal and informal training sessions.

 

 

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Bachelor’s degree. Emphasis in finance, actuarial science, mathematics, economics, or statistics preferred.
  • Highly developed analytical skills, including a high degree of accuracy in calculations and manipulation of numeric data.
  • Strong PC skills. Fluent in MS Office Suite (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience in Access preferred.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Clear, concise, professional written and oral communications.
