Advanced Management Program for Product (AMPP)

Think about the things that surround you in your daily life. Chairs, tables, desks, etc. – what is the “origin story” of these everyday items? Who decides the shape, size, scale, color, and price of these products?

Welcome to the world of Allsteel Product Management.

Every product has a story, and we need your help laying the foundation for future product development at Allsteel. If you are analytical and creative, yet curious, come help us innovate. We need your analytical mind and creative approach to help us scan the market for new product development opportunities.

As a member of the Advanced Management Program for Product (AMPP), you will rotate through an 18-month program with six cross-functional experiences to prepare you for a role as an Associate Product Manager. You’ll take ownership of meaningful projects on day 1 and have the ability to make significant impacts throughout each experience. Exposure to diverse functions throughout the organization will create memorable experiences that will ultimately contribute to your future success in product management.

•Interested in how Allsteel provides an exceptional customer experience? You’ll connect with our customers and manage large, complex furniture projects – from order planning through punch-list closeout – in the Customer Experience rotation.

•Attracted to product research and development? During the Product Analytics rotation, you’ll learn about our product offering and dream up ways to improve it through market research, competitive benchmarking, and pricing analysis. You’ll also help us make recommendations on future projects and strategies.

•Want to learn more about how we sell our furniture? In the Sales experience, you’ll assist our sales team with executing sales objectives specific to their markets across the country. Get to know our network of dealers by helping them drive new business and find new ways to support our new and existing customer base.

•Curious about our manufacturing facilities? A rotation in Operations will allow you to experience the fast-paced world of product development through the manufacturing lens. With focuses in supply chain and process improvement projects, you’ll help us develop improved, more efficient processes.

•Want to launch a product? Get up close and personal with our new product launch process in the Project Management rotation. Work with cross-functional teams to drive product development projects and enhancements to ensure successful market launches.

•And what about Allsteel’s story? Help research and develop our brand and product stories while in the Marketing rotation. You’ll work with our Product Development, Sales, and Architect and Design teams to develop marketing collateral, strategies, and make the Allsteel brand shine.

At the end of the program, we’ll be excited to have you as an Associate Product Manager, where you can expect to put the knowledge you have gained from your rotations to use, each and every day.

If you are a self-starter, curious about the world, constantly asking yourself “why”, and committed to constructive discontent (never satisfied with the status quo), then we are excited to have you join our team!
