Business Development Representative

Playbuzz is changing the way content is created and consumed, globally. In the past 5 years, we have been building partnerships with the world’s largest publishers and brands (Huffpost, CBS, ESPN, Major League Baseball, BBC, Netflix, and many more) to help them drive audience engagement and revenue using our platform. We are backed by great investors like Disney and Saban Ventures, and we have 5 offices worldwide. Our Business Development Team is growing quickly and looking for a Business Development Representative to join the team. We hire aggressively from within, so this is an incredible opportunity to get in on the ground floor and be promoted to a leadership position quickly.

Your story:
You’re looking to get your foot in the door and find a role that lays the foundation for a successful digital sales career. You want an opportunity for enormous career growth and are willing to learn and work towards that goal. You’re passionate about generating new business and want to work in a place where the largest publishers in the world are your clients.

Long story short, you will:

  • Help find new publishers to use Playbuzz’s video monetization product.
  • Report into the Director of Business Development and work closely with Sales Operations and Marketing to generate leads and identify the best prospective publishers to reach out to.
  • Reach out to prospective publishers through email and phone to achieve monthly meeting goals. This will be your main KPI: The more meetings set, the better!
  • Nurture and follow up on lead sources to turn them into appointments for the BD team.
  • Develop and optimize sales strategies and process to ensure a healthy sales funnel.
  • This is a sales position: You must be hungry and willing to sell!

And it will be awesome if you have:
  • Previous sales experience preferred, but not required.
  • A strong desire to learn and succeed in tech sales.
  • Comfortable on the phone, very personable, strong email writing skills, and objective handling skills.
  • The ability to learn quickly and adapt to change
  • Well organized, go-getter mentality a MUST
  • Previous CRM experience a plus
  • Enthusiasm and eagerness to help the company grow
