Director of Sales Operations
Responsibilities
- Maintain close communication with Sales Directors and SVP of Global Sales to track and support GSP daily operations and weekly revenue
- Help strategize to develop 2019 Zero-Based goals/targets, build out sales territories/key vertical sectors for GSP team
- Assist with all strategic initiatives and tactical deliverables across multiple functional areas, such as Finance, HR, and Legal
- Analyze data & industry benchmarks to Improve productivity by evaluating and implementing “best practice” sales strategies that drive revenue growth and brand evolution
- Assist to assign sales training and offer guidance for Sales Directors to work with 3rd party research to make data-driven presentations
- Collaborate with sales team to define and articulate growth opportunities
- Support the day-to-day departmental and cross-functional initiatives
- Manage and oversee the GSP P&L (Travel & Expense, Events, COGS)
- Work with other members of GSP team in setting global priorities through analysis and development of business cases for key opportunities
- Coordinate and track deliverables and accomplishments across multiple initiatives/projects
- Monitor market-level KPIs to identify, assess, and communicate emerging trends to Executive Leadership
- Work across teams to address issues as they arise
- Stay up-to-date on organizational operating policies and procedures (i.e., Finance, Legal, etc.) to ensure appropriate protocols are followed, and facilitate accordingly
- Work with the GSP to provide guidance, solve problems, mediate disputes and proactively deal with issues before they reach the EVP, Co-President Level
- Work on a variety of special projects with the GSP team
- Facilitate new business development proposals and initiatives as directed.
- Help sustain a positive, entrepreneurial and high performing culture to facilitate delivery of strategic goals.
Experience and Requirements:
- A four-year degree is required, and MBA is preferred
- 5-7 years of proven operations and strategic planning experience with progressive growth in responsibility
- Outstanding facilitator of cross-functional thinking to define complex issues, generate ideas, influence thinking, and build consensus around decisions
- Strong analytical and financial skills anchored by natural, common sense thinking
- Finely honed written and verbal communication skills driven by solid business logic and keen judgment
- Strong experience interacting with and presenting to senior executives
- Strong project management, planning and organizational skills
- Self-motivated and able to independently structure and lead complex analyses
- Able to give and receive constructive criticism, especially when initiatives are off-track, over-budget and/or behind-schedule
- Able to maintain poise and grace under pressure
- Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively inform, motivate, and organize a multi-person sales team
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while staying highly organized and detail-oriented
- Willing and able to travel for business (approximately 20%) and work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
