Graphic Designer

In addition to having a website, brands are now expected to join the conversation on social media to highlight their unique personality. Given these trends, creation of useful, easy-to-digest multimedia content is essential for businesses that want to stay relevant.

National Strategic develops content strategies for clients and we create online properties and collateral accordingly. We obsessively study industry trends, the competitive landscape, and customer avatars to create cutting-edge websites, videos, emails, brochures, blogs, mailers, and more. Graphic Designer

As a Graphic Designer, you will aide our robust design team in executing on our client’s strategic plans. From the creation of digital assets to auditing existing collateral to proof of concept development – no two days will be the same. You will have the opportunity to make an impact immediately and you will see that impact in real-time. In this role, you will build your technical and professional acumen and you will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally with our sales, development, SEO and creative teams. 
 
Your Role

Your specific responsibilities will vary based on current projects, but a typical day may include: 
  • Capturing photo and/or video
  • Coaching clients on how to capture photo and/or video
  • Photo editing
  • Video editing
  • Modifying layouts
  • Story-boarding a concept into a tangible idea
  • Designing promotional or educational materials
  • Mocking up client-facing proofs of concept
  • Updating existing collateral
  • Brainstorming with client strategists

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree (with a graduation date no later than September 30, 2019) 
  • Ability to break down complex strategies into small, manageable tasks
  • Capacity to complete tasks quickly and accurately while handling interruptions
  • Proven capability to work individually and as part of a team
  • Passion for graphic design and the associated continuous learning
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Consistent track record of outstanding academic performance
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new concepts and technology quickly
  • Familiarity with Content Marketing
  • Proficiency in the latest versions of design and video editing software including: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Sketch, Premiere, Final Cut, & After Effects
  • Familiarity with audio and video editing and animation techniques
  • Willingness to travel as appropriate to client sites

Preferred majors include – but are not limited to:
  • Graphic Design
  • Marketing
  • Psychology
  • Computer Science
  • Computer Engineering / Software Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Other Engineering disciplines
  • Information Systems / Decision Sciences
  • Business Administration majors with technical proficiency
