2019 Summer Analyst Program Data Science

Internship Description:
RockCreek seeks interns for data/AI work who can help build best-in-class methods for accessing and analyzing data. They will work closely with RockCreek computer scientists and professionals in mathematics and finance to develop advanced analytical models and machine-learning tools.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Enhance accessibility, validation, analysis, and utilization of data
  • Improve effectiveness of data use by investment professionals
  • Operate data platforms to deliver user-friendly analytics
  • Explore and introduce new state-of-the-art visualizations and designs
  • Assist with using Natural Language Processing techniques to improve the understanding and use of unstructured data
  • Assist with the development of tools that leverage machine learning and deep learning models to analyze financial data

Requirements:
  • Must be working toward a Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Degree in data science, computer science, mathematics, statistics, physics, or other quantitative disciplines
  • Knowledge of data analysis and advanced knowledge of statistical techniques
  • Exposure to machine learning, deep learning, or reinforced learning
  • Programming skills in Python, R, VBA, etc.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or similar cloud platforms is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are a plus
