The San Francisco Frozen Film Festival (www.frozenfilmfestival.com) is seeking a Film Festival Intern to do real work, and make a tremendous impact helping our nonprofit organization film festival.
 
About The San Francisco Frozen Film Festival
The San Francisco Frozen Film Festival (SFFFF) is a Nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2006 that is dedicated to creating avenues for independent filmmakers, youth, filmmakers of conscience, and artists from underserved communities to come together and exhibit their work to the widest possible audience.
The San Francisco Frozen Film Festival is held every summer in the heart of the Mission district in San Francisco at the Roxie Theater. Filmmakers whose work is accepted into the festival are invited to come to the city by the bay in the dead of summer to screen and discuss their work.
In addition to our annual International film festival, the SFFFF Youth Program is specifically focused on demonstrating to underserved youth that existing pathways do exist to help them find a career in the film arts. SFFFF holds annual music and art performances, as well as youth programming and awards presentations.
The Film Festival Intern will have the opportunity to lead real work such as:
 
  • Helping to coordinate film premiers at the Roxie theatre in the Mission district
  • Research
  • Sponsorship and filmmaker Coordination
  • Marketing and social media tasks
  • Creating marketing letters to secure sponsorships
  • Contacting potential companies and finding out their requirements for sponsorship proposals.
  • Assisting in film viewing
  • Assisting in the coordination of events
  • Helping to coordinate film premiers at the Roxie theatre in the Mission district.
  • Various festival related project and tasks
  • Event planning
 
What you should bring:
 
  • An interest or background in film
  • Skilled and comfortable with developing business relationships and building rapport
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong writing skills
  • A passion for the festival
  • The ability and confidence to work independently, think outside the box, and are driven.

This is an unpaid Internship. It will teach significant skills and or offer great experience opportunity. We would like to find someone that could work during this summer for eight to twelve weeks starting as soon as comfortably possible.
