Fuel Sales Representative

Summary: The OTR Sales Representative is responsible for executing the OTR fuel sales strategies developed by the sales division. This person will be responsible for assisting in the development and execution of marketing and sales programs that stimulate an increase in traffic and sales with a primary focus on Bosselman Travel Centers.

Essential Job Duties/Functions:
·        Work with Executive Sales Director to develop a Strategic Action Plan and Goals for increasing fuel sales for Bosselman Travel Centers and AMBEST branded Pump & Pantry locations.
·        Assist in the development of a continuous lead generation program.
·        Consistently follow up and properly qualify all leads through various appropriate activities (scheduled meetings, cold calling, phone work, electronic communication). 
·        Develop our relationship with OTR fuel card transaction companies, key contacts and, market strategies and discount implementation processes.
·        Develop a thorough understanding of the fuel optimization software utilized by the transportation industry.
·        Development and execution of our customer retention program to include but not limited to:
o  Face to face relationship development.
o  Consistent follow up/& check in strategy.
o  Identify opportunities with customers to increase gallons purchased.
·        Responsible for assisting OTR customers with resolution of any challenges related to fueling at our TC and AMBEST branded locations,
·        Proper use and execution of proposal system when appropriate.
·        Consistent and effective use of the CRM system to assist in maintaining customer relationships, lead conversion and sales activity reporting.
·        Identify and maintain information regarding our competition. This will include providing strategic intelligence to management on and ongoing basis. 
·        Determine marketing tool needs and assist in development of those tools as appropriate.
·        Attend marketing and promotional events that would be beneficial to show customer appreciation and lead development.
·        Work with AMBEST & Pilot Sales reps as needed to support gallon growth as appropriate.

Additional Job Duties:
·        Assisting in other duties, as assigned.
·        Ability to travel.

Education and/or Experience (includes certs or licenses needed):
·        Associates degree or related field preferred but not necessary.
·        3-5 years of sales and customer service experience combined.
·        Energy and/or Transportation industry experience preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:
·        Proven sales and marketing skills
·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
·        Demonstrates effective negotiation and closing techniques.
·        Works well in team environment
·        Proven customer and personal relationship building skills.
·        Must be dependable, responsible and self-motivated.
·        Familiar with and proficient in basic Microsoft Office use.
·        Must be able to communicate in English – IF APPLICABLE.
·        Able and willing to deliver friendly, courteous and prompt customer service.
·        Able to work cooperatively with other team members.
