We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Human Resources Intern to join our team for the Summer of 2019.
Joining our intern program as the HR Intern means you will learn:
- The importance of employment law and compliance, especially regarding employment eligibility, confidentiality, proper maintenance of employee files, and forms management.
- Payroll issues related to onboarding and termination, use of a payroll management database, new hire paperwork and report generation.
- Employee benefits management issues related to plan renewal and open enrollment, benefits enrollment and termination, troubleshooting employee benefits issues, and the customer service aspect of benefits oversight.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide clerical and administrative support to the Human Resources group
- Manage the HR Support inbox
- Research, develop and implement audit process for post-hire documents
- Process employment verifications
- Assist in payroll preparation
- Assist with employee benefits administration
- Provide support of new hire on-boarding and assist with team member orientation
- Generate and interpret HR reporting for the purpose of communicating industry trends
Qualifications:
- Pursuing Degree in Human Resources, Communication or Business-related fields.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven work environment
- Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple assignments simultaneously
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong customer service and people skills
