Kids Ministry Summer Intern (North Shore Campus)

This unpaid internship may involve some or all of the following opportunities but is not limited to what is written below. The specific opportunities chosen will depend on each intern's interests and abilities.
  • gaining teaching experience by teaching large groups of 50+ elementary age kids (kindergarten-5th grade) and/or early childhood kids (toddlers - age 5) on Sunday mornings (with adult volunteer support)
  • leading small groups of up to 10 kids
  • leading worship (singing with audio tracks, teaching dance motions, playing an instrument is a plus but not required)
  • preparing for Sunday ministry with administrative, creative, and technological tasks (prepping and purchasing props, creating an engaging environment, setting up audio/video equipment and presentation software - on the job training will be provided)
  • creating or helping create curriculum for a family ministry class & then teaching the class to parents and their elementary age kids
  • implementing a summer incentive program for elementary age kids to attend, invite friends, bring their Bibles, memorize Bible verses, etc.
  • participating in volunteer recruiting events
  • planning or helping plan one or more family fun events
  • exploring kid and family serving options
