Management Assistant/Analyst Intern - BLM Summer 2020

Housing, transportation, professional seminars, and a stipend will be provided! 
 
Upon successful completion of the 11-week internship and completion of the student’s degree, the interns placed by Arab-American Business and Professional Association (ABPA) can be hired by Bureau of Land Management (BLM) through the Direct Hire Authority (DHA). DHA allows eligible individuals to be hired into federal jobs on a non-competitive basis which may lead to a fast-track full-time employment in US government agencies.
 
Job Description:
 
Agency: U.S. Department of the Interior - Bureau of Land Management
 
The intern will coordinate process improvements for administration functions with the energy, minerals and realty management directorate. The intern will collect and draft policies in areas such as information technology, human resources, financial and performance, economic policy management, Freedom of Information Act, records, property, internal controls, and regulations.
 
Eligibility:
 
  • Related Majors: Two- or Four-year degree, preferably with a physical or computer science background which would require the candidate to have good organizational skills.
  • Must have a valid state-issued driver's license
  • Must have lived in the US for at least the past 3 years, consecutively 
  • U.S. Citizenship or Green Card Holder required
  • It is expected that the intern will have a well-rounded understanding of the practical resources needed to manage administrative functions effectively and efficiently.
