Lean Manager/ Continuous Improvement Manager

Eaton’s Vehicle Division is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager to join our team. This position is based at our South Bend, IN facility. 
 
As a member of the South Bend Team, you will be responsible for leading deployment of the continuous improvement tools and processes of the Eaton Business System, including Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF) and Eaton Lean Six Sigma (ELSS) in support of overall plant objectives.

  • You will serve as a member of the South Bend team, fulfilling duties and providing input for strategy, direction & continuous improvement.
  • You will partner with Operations and Support Functions to develop plans to identify and address current and future challenges through use of Lean & CI tools.
  • You will support Continuous Improvement Framework deployment (visual controls, process standardization, standard work, Gemba walks, manning strategy, daily accountability, process checks and CI for everyone).
  • You will integrate ELSS tool deployment through tool experts (Value Stream Mapping, 5S+, Standard Work, TPM, Setup Reduction, Error Proofing, and Flow).
  • You will plan and support successful kaizen / Rapid Improvement Events (RIE).
  • You will ensure capability and sustainability through Lean & CI training.
  • You will conduct performance reviews to improve organizational performance.

Qualifications

Basic (Required) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.  
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Lean/Six Sigma certification.
  • Experience with Lean in a heavy manufacturing organization.
