NNSA Graduate Fellowship Program


The National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Graduate Fellowship Program (NGFP) prepares highly motivated graduate students for a career in national security. The program is sponsored by NNSA and administered by Pacific Northwest National Laboratory.

 

Our year-long, salaried fellowships offer:

  • Hands-on experience in national security
  • Career development, professional networking, and specialized training
  • Extensive interaction and collaboration with leading national security technology and policy experts

Fellows are placed within NNSA program offices in Washington D.C. or at NNSA Field Offices nationwide, where they work alongside the nation’s leading scientists, engineers, and policy experts to help implement NNSA programs domestically and internationally. Fellows may support a range of mission areas including but not limited to stockpile stewardship, nuclear nonproliferation, nuclear security, counterterrorism/counter-proliferation, and other pertinent national security mission areas.

Applicants must be currently enrolled in or have graduated from a graduate degree program with 18 months prior to the application deadline with a minimum 3.20/4.00 cumulative GPA in graduate studies. Applicants must also be U.S. citizens eligible for a high-level security clearance.
