Special Education Teacher, Severe & Profound

The Casa Grande Elementary School District is seeking a qualified special education teacher to work with students with multiple sensory impairments. This is a permanent, full-time position. The special education teacher creates a positive learning environment to facilitate the personal, social and intellectual development of students. In order to respond to the individual needs and abilities of students, the special education teacher must work closely with other staff, the administration and other programs of the school district. The special education teacher is responsible to the building principal.
 
Candidates must have at least a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; have at least one year of field experience (student teaching) or approved internship; must have a valid special education teaching certificate, or proof of eligibility; ability to fulfill requirements to be Appropriately Certified under ESSA; general knowledge of special education curriculum and instruction. Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. and possess permanent residence status.

$43,400 + Annual $3,000 stipend for hard-to-fill special education position. Additional $6,000 annual stipend for proper certification in special education/severe & profound.
