Missions Intern
It is First Baptist Church’s desire to grow and develop Christ-following leaders. Our hope is to help leaders achieve growth in all areas of life.
The Missions Intern will help the Missions Committee advance its goals while providing an opportunity for an emerging leader to develop skills and experience.
The Missions Intern will meet weekly with the Senior Pastor. They will be one of five interns working with FIRST during this time period and will have weekly meetings with the internship cohort that will include prayer, training and development. They will also have the opportunity to work alongside the missions committee, others on the pastoral staff and lay leadership at FIRST. They will be asked to engage as part of the First Baptist Church community throughout their internship, including participation in Sunday mornings at FIRST.
These are specific projects FIRST would like the Missions Intern to help with throughout the internship:
▪ Communication between the Missions Committee and the Congregation.
▪ Communication between the Missions Committee and the missionaries FIRST financially supports.
▪ Planning and promoting missions related events.
▪ Assist the Missions Committee in the execution of their vision for missions at FIRST by using different media platforms.
▪ Additional projects as assigned and time allows.
