Youth Ministry Intern
The Youth Ministry Intern will work with the Senior Pastor and Director of Families to help with volunteer training, ministry planning and program implementation on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights in the Youth Ministry area.
The Youth Ministry Intern will meet weekly with the Senior Pastor for a brief check-in meeting and weekly with the Director of Families for a ministry-oriented training. They will be one of five interns working with FIRST during this time period and will have weekly meetings with the internship cohort that will include prayer, training and development. They will also have the opportunity to work alongside the Youth Ministry volunteer teams, others on the pastoral staff and lay leadership at FIRST. The nature of this internship will require them to have ministry specific responsibilities on Sunday mornings, Wednesday evenings and they will be asked to engage as part of the First Baptist Church community throughout their internship.
These are specific projects FIRST would like the Youth Ministry Intern to help with throughout the internship.
▪ Be a part of planning curriculum and weekly activities for the youth ministry.
▪ Work with the Director of Youth to train volunteers in formal and informal settings.
▪ Assist in Sunday morning program implementation for the youth ministry.
▪ Assist in Wednesday night program implementation for the youth ministry.
▪ Help plan and implement family ministry events.
▪ Additional projects as assigned and time allows.
