Fall 2019 - Hospitality and Logistics Internship

**In order to apply: Must be able to receive 3 units of college credit**

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour is a National Junior Golf Tour and was founded with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Our vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. Over the past nine seasons the tour has grown at exponential proportions and has become the largest junior tour in the country. Since being founded in 2007 the tour has grown from 300 members and 25 events to more than 4,500 members and 275+ this year. The tour has also been fortunate enough to embody many characteristics not normally seen in the junior golf industry including large corporate sponsorship deals, top tier golf course selection, influential stake in the golfing community, and an excellent experience for its Players. Embedded within the tour are six distinct age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18 and Girls under 13.

As of February 2017, the Nexus Luxury Collection, Ltd. (Nexus), through it’s U.S. subsidiaries, has acquired a stake in the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT). Tavistock Group, Tiger Woods, and Justin Timberlake are the lead partners in Nexus. The group will assist the Hurricane Tour in its continued growth across the United States and now globally. By the end of 2018, we will be global in at least four countries across the world. This will only further the benefits of our internship program and the future careers of our interns. With the addition of our new partnership we will provide ample networking opportunities for our interns and in addition to the contacts made, the internship will provide vast opportunity for full time employment with not only the Tour but contacts made through Nexus and it’s network.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour offers a well-rounded educational internship for ambitious individuals looking at developing a wide variety of business skills in the field instead of a traditional classroom. No other internship will better prepare you for a career in the business/marketing and tournament world. The HJGT has multiple internships available. The HJGT Internship Program runs in the Spring, Summer and Fall and you can apply for any semester. We are excited to begin our intern recruitment process for Fall 2018 and are currently accepting resumes to apply for all of our internships. Through feedback from our interns we have made vast improvements to our houses in Florida, Georgia, and Virginia and remodeled them based on the needs and comfort of our interns. Our internship program allows students to gain hands-on experience and interact with professionals in the sport world. We host two open forums each semester where we invite successful business leaders in to speak about how they got to where they are today. Just to list some of the benefits of interning with the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour: our interns are provided fully furnished housing or hotels, the rare opportunity to travel the country, and countless networking opportunities to further their education and future careers.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour is now accepting applications for Spring 2019! It's not too early or late too apply with the nations largest junior golf tour. You must be able to obtain university credits from your institution to take part in the HJGT internship. Before applying please confirm you can obtain credits.
