Radio Engineering Industries, Inc. (REI) is a leading manufacturer of infotainment, video surveillance and fleet management solutions for public transit, rail, school transportation and commercial transportation. We are looking for a diligent, experienced software Engineer to produce software for our customers.
Position Summary:
As our new Software Engineer, you will be responsible for writing software for customers, sales, and other stakeholders of REI’s line of products.
As a Software Engineer, you must be or have:

As a Software Engineer, you will:
· Write software for server application software and/or HTML5 user interfaces.
· Work with stakeholders to define tasks.
· Write apps for a range of mobile devices.
· Analyze tasks and help determine relative effort.
· Work in an agile environment to produce software.
· Help prioritize tasks based on business needs.
As a Software Engineer, you must have:
· Fluency in C, C++, C# or similar language.
· Experience developing cloud-based multitier server software.
· Experience with developing mobile applications for Android and/or iOS.
· Familiarity with common technologies and frameworks: .NET, WCF, Entity Framework, SQL, HTML5, Xamarin.
· Familiarity with web programming: HTML, JavaScript, CSS.
· Ability to test, document, and support all levels of design, as well as see a project through all its phases.
· Experience with embedded system development.
· Knowledge of video systems and compression technologies: MPEG4, MJPEG, H.265, etc.
· Knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, REST, JSON and other network protocols.
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field is preferred.
