Marketing Internship
The Badlands Big Sticks are a summer collegiate baseball team in Dickinson, ND. Established as a charter member of the Expedition League in 2018, the Big Sticks are committed to providing fun and affordable family entertainment and strong community involvement while developing elite college baseball players.
General Information:
- Internship runs from mid-May 2019 thru mid-August 2019 (start and end dates can be flexible with school schedule)
- Preference given to current college students requiring academic credit
- Attendance required for all 32 Big Stick home games (view schedule HERE)
- Interns are required to maintain a challenging schedule - expect 12-14 hour days on game-days and 60+ hour weeks during home-stands
- Interns will be paid a stipend of $1000 for the summer and provided a meal on each home game day
- Housing can be provided in the Dickinson area for those who need it. Interns are responsible for their own transportation
Position Responsibilities:
- Serve as in-game host while conducting promotions on-field and in the stands
- Assist with sponsorship fulfillment in making sure promotions are meeting the needs of their contract
- Produce daily game script for in-game promotions and PA announcer use
- Assist with creating new and fun on-field promotions to help implement theme nights
- Assist with coordinating aspects of promotional schedule (pre-game events, giveaways)
Game-day responsibilities:
- Coordinate and conduct all in-game promotions
- Make sure all props and supplies are properly stored and ready for each game
Requirements:
- Comfortable speaking in front of large crowds on microphone
- Outgoing and engaging personality when recruiting contestants for promotions
- Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills
