Business Insider visual features reporter, retail
Business Insider is hiring a full-time visual features reporter to tell photo-driven stories for its retail section.
This position is on a team that covers major consumer companies from fast food to department stores. The visual features reporter would pitch, shoot, and write their own stories on these topics.
You’ll be writing stories like these:
- IHOP changed its name to IHOb to promote its new lineup of burgers. They're shockingly good.
- This East Coast cult favorite just beat In-N-Out to be named America's favorite burger chain for the second year in a row — here's what it's like
- We shopped at Sephora and Ulta to see which was a better beauty store — and the winner was clear
- 50 stores you once loved that you'll never be able to shop at again
We’re looking for someone with:
- Excellent writing skills
- A passion for telling visual stories
- Interest in reporting on a variety of topics
- Experience taking and editing original photos
- The ability to work at a fast pace
Copyediting skills and light HTML experience are a plus.
This is a full-time position based in our New York office. Insider Inc. offers competitive compensation and full benefits packages.
