At this Academy, I create custom "In the Wild" experiences combining the mental aspects of neuroscience, the behavior change abilities of psychology with the physical aspect of action sports to help you achieve Peak Performance. In these experiences, I help you outside your comfort zone in order to open up your mind AND body to what you thought was possible, creating a new level of thinking. On this level, I draw parallels from your experience to what you're currently trying to improve, creating a new and innovative approach to achieving your goals, while having fun and relieving stress.

Job Description
The intern will work closely with the founder and will play a crucial role in the accomplishment of our goals to bring our pioneering message to a larger audience online. We strive to tailor internships to the needs and interests of each candidate and will provide hands-on instruction and training. We are seeking social media intern who is pursuing a career in psychology, neuroscience, action sports, life coaching, personal development, human resources, leadership and development or wellness.

This internship is the perfect opportunity for someone interested in the startup space to develop the experience of launching a pioneering business. If you want to make a difference and bring a visionary idea into the world, this may be just what you're looking for. Internships are unpaid for now; however, we will do everything we can to provide a meaningful, hands-on experience where you’ll learn the tips and hacks for launching a new business and be on the cutting edge of an industry.

The position requires a commitment of up to three days (10-15 hours) per week, working mostly remotely, with a weekly meeting. Weekly schedules and internship duration are flexible.

The internship is unpaid or for school credit.

Full-time and part-time positions are available. Successful candidates will work closely with the Founder to get the word out globally about our mission while driving traffic to the website and social media.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
1. Build our social channels and campaigns for Facebook, Instagram, Google+, LinkedIn and Twitter.
2. Support PR, by creating materials and outreach to relevant news outlets and early adopters.
3. Perform background research on current topics in psychology, neuroscience, action sports, coaching and personal development.
4. Create social, editorial and email content, including blog posts.
5. Write briefs, blog posts, social media posts, and other communications and publications for digital distribution.
6. Research the Internet and other channels to keep abreast of innovative new practitioners in the international contemporary life coaching, psychology, neuroscience and peak performance sphere.
7. Provide insights into digital analytics through the use of Google Analytics.
Required skills include exceptional writing and editing, research and social media savvy, intimate knowledge of social media strategy (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google+ and blogging, ability to work unsupervised, capacity to write on deadline, demonstrated interest in coaching, life coaching, psychology, neuroscience, action sports and personal development.

Candidates must be a current undergraduate (with a minimum of junior status) or graduate student, or recent graduate within 6 months of completing his or her degree. Other qualifications include:
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
