Business Analyst Overview Business analysts are sometimes referred to as management analysts, business continuity planners or business operations specialists. A business analyst identifies and analyzes an organization's business processes for the purposes of building a software application or platform, improving productivity, minimizing risk or waste, or developing a new product or service line. Business analysts must interface with several departments and job titles to glean information about how a process operates, and analysts are often involved in high-level discussions with company owners, clients, upper management and other important stakeholders.
Daily tasks of a business analyst might include:
Attending client and stakeholder meetings Presenting process documentation Creating case and process diagrams Coordinating projects Interviewing business associates Writing documents
QA Analyst Overview
A quality assurance analyst works to test a software program and report any bugs that might appear. Commonly known as a software tester, quality assurance analysts are responsible for catching any major problems that reduce the quality of the product before it goes to launch. They must document every problem that occurs and reproduce it exactly so that developers can implement a fix for it. Doing so prevents a piece of software from being released with a bug. A QA analyst may work closely with both IT support technicians and system security analysts.
Responsibilities: Develop test cases, test plans and manually testing software applications. Assists in the development and implementation of quality test strategies and methods. Analyzing, testing, tracking and issue reporting of IT product lines that are developed for Premier customers. Works in collaboration with Application Development, the Quality Assurance team, Project Management, Business Analysts, and other IT stakeholders to ensure that the applications development projects have been tested thoroughly and meet the required deliverables and quality standards. Role includes planning, designing, executing and tracking the results of associated test efforts.
Qualifications:
- College degree.
- Domain experience in Finance, Banking, Insurance, Retail or Healthcare and/or benefit administration is a plus.
- Excellent writing/documentation, communication, analysis and organizational skills required.
- Strong aptitude in both business and technology.
- Self-starter with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Fast learner, quality consciousness and committed to deadlines.
- Candidates must have basic SQL knowledge.
