Preferred Experience/Qualifications/Skills:
- Previous experience with rail access scrap recycling is a big plus
- Previous experience with heavy equipment/machinery and the supervision/evaluation of operator usage is a plus
- Capacity to manage up to 10 employees on the yard
- Computer/technology adept
- Microsoft office friendly
- Familiarity with relevant state and federal environmental and safety regulations
- Ability to maintain a strong safety culture in the work environment
- Ability to communicate at all levels
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to lead from the front
- Results oriented and driven
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage facility employees in accordance with EMR policies as well as state and federal environmental and safety regulations
- Facilitate yard activity and control production levels to ensure yard objectives are met
- Implement solutions to unique circumstances that are presented during recycling operations
- Manage EMR staff and equipment to ensure the optimal efficiency of both
- Maintain a positive EHS culture and promote a safe working environment
- Communicates best practices within organization
- Utilizes a methodical and positive approach
