Preferred Experience/Qualifications/Skills:
  • Previous experience with rail access scrap recycling is a big plus
  • Previous experience with heavy equipment/machinery and the supervision/evaluation of operator usage is a plus
  • Capacity to manage up to 10 employees on the yard
  • Computer/technology adept
  • Microsoft office friendly
  • Familiarity with relevant state and federal environmental and safety regulations
  • Ability to maintain a strong safety culture in the work environment
  • Ability to communicate at all levels
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to lead from the front
  • Results oriented and driven
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage facility employees in accordance with EMR policies as well as state and federal environmental and safety regulations
  • Facilitate yard activity and control production levels to ensure yard objectives are met
  • Implement solutions to unique circumstances that are presented during recycling operations
  • Manage EMR staff and equipment to ensure the optimal efficiency of both
  • Maintain a positive EHS culture and promote a safe working environment
  • Communicates best practices within organization
  • Utilizes a methodical and positive approach
