Land Surveyor in Training

Ferrantello Group P.C. is looking to hire a Junior Surveyor in Training to perform a variety of field and office duties related to the field of surveying, engineering, drafting, and design technology.  The Junior Surveyor in Training will assist in the preparation and creation of various types of surveys utilized in the location, design and/or construction of roads, structures, geo-technical, flood control projects, storm water facilities, recreational facilities, land development, subdivisions, or other engineering projects, transportation planning, traffic control of highways, and/or other designs.
 
Job Description
Ferrantello Group PC is looking for Junior Surveyor in Training ideally someone who is an eager self starter, with a passion for the outdoors, enjoys that every day will be dynamic and overall an interest in Land Surveying and Engineering.
·        Enjoys learning a new craft- must be able to listen and follow instructions in all types of situations and environments
·        Ability to retain and apply knowledge to enhance decision making
·        Acts as a liaison between clients and staff to coordinate survey requirements and needs.
·        Organizes the daily scheduling of jobs and client visits
·        Assist Party Chief with adhoc reporting and requests as needed
·        Responsible for the handling of equipment and vehicle maintenance
·        Primary Driver of Field Vehicle on a daily basis
·        Enjoys being outdoors year round in all types of weather
Required Qualifications
·        Able to work effectively in both individual and/or team environments.
·        Must be able to handle multiple projects and reports simultaneously
·        Excellent organizational, proofreading and administrative skills
·        Valid Driver’s License
·        May be required to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds maximum allowed by current State Law with or without accommodations or the
·        Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for long periods of time with or without accommodations
