Family Practice Physician / Associate Medical Director

UCNW in beautiful Ferndale, WA, seeks a Family Practice Physician or Associate Medical Director to lead, manage & supervise the physicians & NPs in our brand new facility (opening Summer of 2019) while providing comprehensive, primary care services in a multi-specialty community health center.

Opportunity Highlights:
  • Regular supervisory support & training
  • Full-time employment seeing 17 patients per day without the overhead work and costs of running a private practice
  • Work in a brand new, modern facility
  • Fully implemented EMR system (GE Centricity) with one-on-one training provided
  • Outpatient work only – no OB and no hospital rounds
  • Modest call schedule providing phone support only
  • Support staff in the areas of nursing, on-site behavioral health, medical records, EMR/IT, case management, referrals, & helping patients seek insurance
  • Occasional Saturdays with choice of a day off the previous week or additional pay

Ideal Candidate Offers: 
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in progressively responsible administrative or management-related positions within a primary health care environment
  • Minimum 3 years’ Family Practice experience in an outpatient, primary care setting
  • Experience in a community health center preferred, but experience in other settings welcome
  • Experience working with patients with complex co-morbidities including hypertension, diabetes, mental illness, chronic pain, and substance abuse
  • Experience &/or an interest in children’s & women’s health &/or HIV and other communicable diseases
  • Previous work with and ability to relate to individuals from diverse cultures, backgrounds & socio-economic levels, treating them with sensitivity & respect in providing health care for all
  • Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records
