Sports Journalist Intern

Students would be assigned a professional sports team and take over the role as the team's beat-writer for our website. The selection of the team would be discussed in the interview process. Students would occasionally be sent to games to cover the event, and would have a weekly assignment that should take no longer than an hour or two. We want to give aspiring sports writers, and even people just interested in it an opportunity to experience what it is like to have their articles published, with easy access to readers and a wide audience. We are seeking students who are motivated, hard-working, and willing to experiment and try new things. In addition, interns would be assigned a member of our team to be their mentor, to advise them on their work and provide constructive criticism and positive feedback on their articles. All writing would be done online, there would be no need to ever make a physical appearance at the address listed as the location of this internship.
